Robotic Total Station Training

Course Description:
In this course, you will learn how to use a robotic total station. The course is designed to help you improve productivity by using the latest software. The class sizes are small and are perfect for anyone who has a practical knowledge of total stations.

Prerequisites:
If you do not have practical experience with Total Stations, we recommend attending TOTAL STATION FOR CONSTRUCTION or SETTING OUT FOR CONSTRUCTION before attending this course.

Course content
Upon completing the course, participants will have the skills to perform the following tasks:
– Set the position and orientation of the total station
– Input data manually into the controller
– Establish a connection between the controller and the total station
– Navigate efficiently through menus and programs
– Access stored information in both list and map formats
– View, edit, add, and delete data accurately
– Configure the correct settings
– Select the appropriate prism constant
– Conduct topographical surveys and record results systematically
– Set out co-ordinates using onboard functionalities
– Set out points relative to a given line using onboard functionalities
– Set out points along a radius (e.g. road centrelines) using onboard functionalities
– Transfer large amounts of data between the total station and the computer
– Extract line data (e.g. horizontal distance and level difference between two points)
– Measure irregular areas and volumes (e.g. stockpiles)
– Import and work with DTMs and DXF
– Create and export DTMs and DXFs
– Transfer data between Excel and survey software through import and export functions.
